Former
SouthTrust VP to Manage Credit and Operations
Birmingham, Ala., May 9, 2003 — Doug Mills, president
of Birmingham-based Central Leasing Corporation, recently announced that
Barry Thomas, former vice president and group manager at SouthTrust Bank,
has joined the firm as credit manager. In addition to overseeing the
credit department for the commercial leasing and finance company, Thomas
will also be responsible for managing day-to-day operations.

Central Leasing Corporation,” Mills said. “He brings a wealth of
experience in administration and management, as well as industry-specific
knowledge in leasing and credit management. His expertise will make him a

Before joining Central Leasing, Thomas served as vice
president and group manager at SouthTrust Bank since 1997. There he was
responsible for managing business leasing and operations of all units
within the Commercial Leasing Group. He previously worked at Bank One
Louisiana in Baton Rouge for eight years, where he served as assistant
vice president of various lending departments. A graduate of Louisiana
State University, Thomas began his career at Livingston Bank in Denham
Springs, La.
